This talented British actor is one of the UK's most up-and-coming talents. He first got started with roles in series such as _"Trial & Retribution" (1997)_ (qv), _"Dangerfield" (1995)_ (qv), _"Kavanagh QC" (1995)_ (qv) and Granada's popular series, _"Cold Feet" (1997)_ (qv), and his theater appearances include 'Sam Mendes (I)' (qv)'s _David Copperfield (2000) (TV)_ (qv) and BBC's _Madame Bovary (2000) (TV)_ (qv). He also portrayed "D'Artagnan" in the series, _Young Blades (2001)_ (qv). Dancy's appearance in 'Ridley Scott' (qv)'s war drama, _Black Hawk Down (2001)_ (qv), as "Medic Kurt Schmid" was followed with starring roles in _Tempo (2003)_ (qv) with 'Melanie Griffith' (qv) and 'Rachael Leigh Cook' (qv) and _The Sleeping Dictionary (2003)_ (qv). He will be playing "Prince Charmont", opposite 'Anne Hathaway' (qv), in the upcoming _Ella Enchanted (2004)_ (qv) and "Sir Galahad" in _King Arthur (2004)_ (qv). His mother, Sarah, is a publisher, and his father, Jonathan, is a writer and philosophy professor at Reading University. He has a brother, Jack (b. 1977) and a sister, Kate (b. 1980).
