John Del Rico was born in Los Angeles. John's parent's coming from Italy and Germany, provided John with a humorous perspective of the world growing up. John's father was an industrial engineer and a successful inventor. The family lived in Beverly Hills, with Alfred Hitchcock and Dean Martin as neighbors, who would come to dinner parties at the Del Rico house. Robert Culp bought their home in Beverly Hills and the family moved to Orange County, which was still developing in the late 60's. John enjoyed the beach, surfing, skateboarding, and racing motocross but, he enjoyed making people laugh the most. John got a chance to test his sense of humor when the Laugh Stop, the only comedy club in the OC at the time was having an Open Mike night. John saw the Open Mikes at the Laugh Stop, as a chance to develop his comedic timing and he honed his craft alongside fellow upcoming comedians at the time, Al Lubel and Patrick Hanifin. The Laugh Stop became a Burger King so John decided to audition for an improvisation troupe in Sherman Oaks, CA. called the "LA Connection". Sheri Kerr started a sketch comedy troupe in Orange County called the "Orange County Crazies". John joined the troupe and is a member of the original cast. John was given a chance to act, when 'Charles T. Kanganis' (qv) chose him to play a triggerman in the movie _Intent to Kill (1992) (V)_ (qv). John continues doing stand-up comedy and has performed across the U.S. and the U.K., using his European upbringing as a premise for his material.
