-   She was nominated for a 2002 'Laurence Olivier' (qv) Theatre Award for Best Actress of 2001 for her performance in "A Day in the Death of Joe Egg" at the New Ambassador's Theatre, London.

-   She was awarded the 2000 London Critics Circle Theatre Award (Drama) for Best Actress for her performance in As You Like performed at the Crucible, Sheffield, and Lyric Hammersmith Theatres.

-   She was awarded the 1995 London Critics Circle Theatre Award (Drama Theatre) for Most Promising Newcomer for her performance in The Master Builder.

-   Played the part of Mrs. Forster in the BBC's mini _"Pride and Prejudice" (1995)_ (qv) (1995) which stared 'Colin Firth' (qv) as Mr. Darcy. Six years later she starred opposite 'Jonathan Firth' (qv), Colin's brother, in the title roles in _Victoria & Albert (2001) (TV)_ (qv).
