Full Plot

A Cockney con-artist just out of prison replaces an insurance company's computer programmer and sends claim checks to himself in various guises at addresses all over Europe. Meanwhile, he falls in love with inept secretary and frustrated flutist, Maggie Smith. Marcus is just out of prison for embezelment but discovers that it is no longer a world of ledgers but has become one of computers. Looking for an angle, he convinces Caesar Smith, noted computer whiz to follow his life long desire, to hunt butterflies in the Amazon. Using Caesar's resume, he finds employment in the corporate world and begins a very large operation under the noses of his superiors. On this journey, he meets Patty, who seems to have no real tallents at all. Marcus marries her, as Ceasar and now has the problem of hiding his hot cash. John Vogel Plot not found

Trivia

- In the film 'Maggie Smith (I)' (qv) takes 'Bob Newhart' (qv) shopping where she is seen trying on clothes and buying an outfit for £20 at the Apple Boutique on Baker Street, London, a boutique owned and operated by 'The Beatles' (qv). The boutique, which was the first venture of their Apple Corps Ltd company, and featured a large psychedelic mural on the external wall, was only operated for several months in 1968 before being closed down and the contents given away to the public for free. Hot Millions provides one of the few rare filmed glimpses of the boutique's interior.

- The car driven by 'Bob Newhart' (qv) is a Jensen Interceptor.
