Trivia

- The Black Madonna of Czestochowa, the copy of which appears in the movie, is a revered icon of the Virgin Mary housed at the Monastery of Jasna Gora in Czestochowa, Poland. The icon was painted between I and XIV century, according to the legend it was painted by St. Luke on a cedar table top from the house of the Holy Family. For last six hundred years it has been strongly associated with Polish history, turning the course of the 1655 Swedish invasion of Poland. After it the Black Madonna was crowned as the Queen of Poland, being till now - with millions of pilgrims yearly - the most important symbol of Polish Catholicism.
